About The Position

PACIV, a trusted engineering and instrumentation services partner, is seeking a Project Manager to join their Indianapolis, IN team. This role will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects involving industrial equipment, process instrumentation, and engineered systems for leading manufacturing, wastewater, utilities, pharmaceutical, and life sciences companies. The ideal candidate is a technical project leader with strong experience in process equipment, procurement, and project execution, looking to drive mission-critical work in a fast-growing industry.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in project management for instrumentation, industrial equipment, or process systems
  • Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering documentation
  • Proven experience with vendor coordination and procurement processes
  • Proven experience with complex, multi-stakeholder project environments
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical discipline
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated industries
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead full project lifecycle delivery (planning through closeout) for ISP projects
  • Ensure success across scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets
  • Develop execution strategies, project plans, and resource allocation models
  • Define and validate technical scope and equipment specifications
  • Review engineering documents for accuracy, completeness, and constructability
  • Manage instrumentation systems including valves, transmitters, analyzers, control systems, process equipment, and critical manufacturing components
  • Own procurement strategy and execution, including RFQs, vendor selection, bid analysis, contract negotiations, and purchase order management
  • Partner with suppliers to ensure spec accuracy, lead times, and quality standards
  • Track equipment lifecycle from fabrication through delivery and installation
  • Serve as the primary client-facing project leader
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and vendors
  • Lead project meetings, reporting, and performance tracking
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, and cost impacts
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, regulatory, and quality standards
  • Drive improvements in project delivery and procurement processes
  • Mentor junior project staff
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment
