About The Position
Pavion is seeking a Project Manager to join its fire business unit. The role manages and coordinates multiple concurrent projects and is accountable for their execution and successful completion. The Project Manager manages project documentation and changes, works with other construction trades to maintain schedules, communicates project status to the operations manager, and manages procurement to help ensure projects meet budget estimates. Regular driving to customer and project sites is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in the fire protection industry and project management.
- 10+ years of experience installing and managing fire alarm and security installations.
- Experience managing fire alarm installations, designing fire alarm systems, and creating submittal packages.
- Experience with fire alarm products such as FCI, Notifier, Firelite, and Gamewell.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of NFPA and trade standards.
- NICET certification.
- Valid driver's license; regular driving to customer and project sites is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of multiple simultaneous projects.
- Ensure project execution and successful completion.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, contracts, change order requests, and subcontractor change orders.
- Work with other construction trades to keep projects on schedule.
- Communicate project status to the operations manager.
- Manage procurement to help ensure projects meet budget estimates.
