About The Position

Hamilton, ON SUMMARY The Project Manager will perform various tasks such as making sure projects are completed as per budget and design, following up on timelines, and assisting with various tasks. PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE Manages projects to ensure they are constructed according to design, budget, and schedule. Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety, and quality control Interfaces with the project team, subcontractors, and related third parties Monitors and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures, and standards are followed Supervises, provides guidance and assesses the performance of direct reports and other team members Oversees project closeout.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in heavy civil and road construction projects.
  • Estimating experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in managing all aspects of road building, asphalt and construction projects.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications (OPSS) is required.
  • Results-oriented with a strong ability to drive revenue and profit in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple competing demands across sites.
  • Collaborative and inclusive leadership style, with the ability to integrate diverse perspectives and build high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated versatility and resourcefulness in solving complex business and project challenges.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation is considered an asset.
  • Experience managing ICI projects is an asset.
