About The Position

The Project Manager role will be focused on Pre-Construction and Project Manager services for engineering and construction projects. You will be utilizing project management tools and methodologies, develop project estimates, create baseline schedules, and manage project detailed scoping efforts. You may lead projects from inception to closeout, and manage the scope, schedule and cost. The technical complexity, budget, number of internal and external parties involved, and risk to the company (i.e., financial, public reputation) increase as you move across the progression. Projects range from small scale (capital or non-capital) projects to large scale projects. Responsible for the overall project delivery: budget, timeline, quality, change management, communication plans, and deliverables which could include, but not be limited to, the following: Applies and adapts project management techniques. Requires risk management. May participate in negotiations with limited guidance as well as formal partnering agreements with other firms. Assignments require extensive knowledge of concepts, principles or practices in a specific discipline, field or area of expertise. Fundamental understanding of process improvement procedures. Conducts financial analysis and forecasting of life cycle costs. Acquires and manages Contracted resources including resource performance feedback. Works with engineering and asset management analysts to determine appropriate application of historical/analogous or other cost estimating techniques to new planned work as appropriate. Works with Project Controllers and Project Managers on active projects to ensure accuracy of cash flow, schedule, and resource forecasts. Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders (executives, regulators, communities, etc.) The ability to communicate complex technical and financial details to different levels of the organization

Requirements

  • AA from an accredited college or university in a field of study that is relevant to the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Requires valid driver's license
  • Associate or full level project management certification
  • 1+ year relevant experience, Construction or other technical project management experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of key operation business process and core applications.
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex business processes and concepts.
  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university in a field of study that is relevant to the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Associate level project management certification, such as Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM), or ability to obtain within one year
  • 3+ years' relevant experience including 1 year of construction or other technical project management experience
  • Manage a team and personal dynamics to effectively drive projects forward, lead project meetings, develop creative and innovative solutions, and build relationships with internal/ external stakeholders
  • Professional level project management certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or ability to obtain within one year
  • 5+ years' relevant experience including 3 years of construction or other technical project management experience
  • Manage multiple teams and personal dynamics to drive projects forward, work effectively with senior staff members and management, manage unique resource group for the delivery of projects, lead complex project meetings, demonstrate knowledge of projects and technical requirements from relevant functional area, and lead process improvement initiatives
  • Professional level project management certification. (I.E. Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM))
  • 7+ years of related or relevant experience including 6 years of construction or other technical project management experience
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge of and competency in project management and technical requirements from relevant functional area, lead the most complex and technical projects in the functional area, effectively collaborate with external regulatory, governmental, business, or customer groups, and work with senior management, building agreement and influencing
