About The Position

Pilatus is hiring a Project Manager for our Seating Production. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating and driving local industrialization activities for the new seat program at Pilatus Aircraft USA in alignment with the Global Project Leader. Support program objectives related to schedule, cost, quality and scope. Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of program readiness, ensure transparency regarding project progress, risks, issues and action items. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in project management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in industrialization, production ramp-up, manufacturing engineering, or operations.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Understanding of APQP, Lean Manufacturing, and Value Stream Mapping principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and track project plans, milestones, risks, action items, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management.
  • Organize and facilitate project status meetings and ensure timely follow-up of agreed actions.
  • Support the implementation of production and industrialization processes for future serial production.
  • Act as the primary interface between PilUSA and Pilatus Switzerland regarding new seat program activities.
  • Support knowledge transfer, process alignment, and best-practice sharing between Switzerland and the USA.
  • Contribute to APQP, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Prepare project reports, management updates, and decision-making documents.
  • Support the establishment of project management standards, governance processes, and reporting structures at PilUSA
  • Support the implementation and sustainment of APQP deliverables, Value Stream Mapping activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Assist in resource and capacity planning activities.
  • Facilitate workshops, lessons learned sessions, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support future industrialization, ramp-up, and site development projects.
