Requirements

  • Diploma or University Degree in Engineering or other relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years’ industry experience, preferably in the fields of bulk materials handling, engineering, or a similar industry.
  • Experience managing medium to large project budgets and negotiating supplier contracts.
  • Expertise in common Project Management software and applications, including budgeting, scheduling, etc.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a range of activities including engineering & design logistics, budgets, schedules, procurement, installation, commissioning, and warranty to ensure smooth, seamless project execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact, managing all communications between the client and the company, ensuring seamless and effective customer interactions.
  • Take full ownership and provide valuable leadership for every member of the project team.
  • Lead the project team in understanding the scope of work and developing plans for the delivery of engineering, design, procurement, logistics, installation, and commissioning.
  • Monitor and work within budget allotments.
  • Manage project execution to schedule, scope, cost, and quality requirements by liaising with and providing direction to other project team members.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management.
  • Identify, manage, and report ongoing project risks and opportunities.
  • Manage all customer interactions, including correspondence, design reviews, deliverables, invoicing, site support, overall scope, and progress reports.
  • Liaise with suppliers and clients, engaging in negotiations that prioritize project budgets and timelines.
