Project Manager - Intralogistics & Automation Systems

Element LogicUnited Sates, KY
Hybrid

About The Position

Warehouses are getting smarter, faster, and more automated - and someone has to lead that transformation on the ground. If you've spent your career keeping complex automation, material handling, or system integration projects on time, on budget, and on track, we want to talk to you. At Element Logic, our Project Managers are the glue between engineering, clients, and the physical systems that redefine how warehouses run. As a Project Manager 3, you won't just manage a schedule - you'll own the commercial and technical success of large-scale automation deployments, mentor the next generation of PMs, and help shape how we deliver projects as a company.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience managing technical or industrial projects - ideally in intralogistics, warehouse automation, material handling, or systems integration
  • A 4-year degree in engineering, business, or a related field
  • Strong financial acumen: you're as comfortable with a forecast as you are with a Gantt chart
  • Proven experience managing contracts and change orders
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand system architecture - you don't need to design the system, but you need to speak the language
  • Confidence navigating advanced stakeholder environments and influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • A risk-anticipation mindset - you see problems before they become expensive
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and modern collaboration/scheduling tools

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification strongly preferred
  • Microsoft Project experience is a plus, not a requirement

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, multi-disciplinary intralogistics and automation projects from kickoff to close
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules across engineering, installation, and commissioning phases
  • Manage a broad and sometimes competing stakeholder landscape - clients, vendors, internal teams, and leadership
  • Own financial performance: forecasting, budget control, and commercial risk management
  • Drive change order strategy and contract management with a sharp eye for risk and opportunity
  • Mentor Project Manager 1s and 2s, and help sharpen our project management practices company-wide
  • Read and act on engineering drawings and system architecture to keep technical execution on track

Benefits

  • Family-first culture with a key focus on mental wellness.
  • Flexibility is offered through a hybrid work approach for all roles that can be performed remotely.
  • Career development plans.
  • Market competitive wages, benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k, and HSA accounts.
