Project Manager - Construction Materials Testing
About The Position
Terracon is hiring a Construction Materials Testing Project Manager / Engineer for its Omaha Construction Materials team. The role manages moderately complex construction materials testing projects from proposal through completion, with ownership of project delivery, direct client interaction, and opportunities for continued professional growth. Projects may support public works, transportation, commercial, energy, industrial, or communications infrastructure. The Project Manager works with clients, contractors, internal teams, field personnel, and senior project managers to deliver projects safely, accurately, and within budget. The position also supports junior staff, business development, and client relationship-building. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction materials, testing, or related services.
- Valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- ICC or NICET certifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage moderately complex construction materials projects and client relationships.
- Review construction plans and specifications and verify compliance in the field.
- Analyze and interpret laboratory and field test data.
- Prepare proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets.
- Track project progress and communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
- Mentor junior staff and support field personnel.
- Partner with senior project managers on larger or more complex projects.
- Participate in business development and client relationship-building efforts.
