About The Position

The Project Manager will support Bastion’s space program in Houston, Texas (77058). The role manages multiple projects funded by different programs, coordinates fluctuating priorities across departments, and serves as a focal point for stakeholder communication. The position is onsite and offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off; some travel may be required. Schedules may change based on position requirements or customer needs. The role requires a self-directed, proactive leader who can work autonomously with minimal oversight, lead a team, and track tasks and issues through completion. The Project Manager prepares plans, estimates, schedules, financial projections, dashboards, proposals, and regular technical, cost, schedule, and risk reviews. This role also tracks procurements and service providers, manages project risks, and communicates with NASA customers and other stakeholders. The position requires U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status because of sensitive customer information. Bastion employees must pass a national agency check; some positions require clearance and extensive background verification. Employees must also pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in periodic random drug and alcohol screenings. The work is generally in an office environment, though tasks may involve inside or outside work. Regular attendance and flexibility to work outside the normal schedule during peak periods or surge requirements are important.
