About The Position

This is a temporary contract position for a Project Manager to be located 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Austin, TX. The estimated duration is 12 months with possible extensions. This role requires a strong IT project management background, specifically in leading hardware deployment or enterprise refresh programs. The position involves managing large-scale IT projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors, and ensuring seamless enterprise IT operations within Texas state agency environments. Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies is essential.

Requirements

  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Austin, TX
  • IT project management experience (8+ years)
  • Experience in demonstrated leadership of hardware deployment or enterprise refresh programs (8+ years)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SDLC, PMBOK, Agile delivery coordination, change management, and enterprise IT operations (6 years)
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and standard OAG workflow tools (6 years)
  • Experience with Texas state agencies (6 years)
  • Prior experience supporting statewide IT (6 years)
  • Experience organizing logistics for deployments exceeding 800+ devices (6 years)
  • PMP, CSM, or ITIL certifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large-scale IT projects, specifically directing enterprise hardware deployment and technology refresh programs, including complex logistics for 800+ device rollouts
  • Apply PMBOK, Agile, and ITIL methodologies to coordinate project delivery, manage organizational change, and ensure seamless enterprise IT operations
  • Direct cross-functional teams and manage multiple external vendors to ensure alignment, accountability, and successful execution within Texas state agency environments
  • Facilitate clear, effective communication across all organizational levels—from executive leadership to technical teams and end-users—to align project goals and resolve issues
  • Utilize MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and standard OAG workflow tools to develop project plans, track progress, manage resources, and maintain comprehensive documentation
  • Employ strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively identify risks, mitigate deployment challenges, and optimize operational workflows throughout the project lifecycle
