Responsibilities

  • Manage the project: Understand Agile delivery philosophy, tailor and manage processes based on team structure and circumstances, collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify and document scope, build and maintain delivery plans, provide accurate and timely updates on milestones and progress, and actively manage and mitigate project risk.
  • Manage a product: Maintain a product roadmap, coordinate with Adaptive teams using the product, oversee production and maintenance of technical documentation and marketing materials, and share knowledge with the Adaptive Support team.
  • Manage a team: Promote a Servant Leader mindset, empower team members, involve them in decision-making, identify and drive resolution of problems affecting team harmony and performance, understand software concepts to discuss problems and orchestrate strategy with various talents (Developers, QA, UX, BA, DevOps, Support), and work with distributed teams.
  • Manage people: Listen to team members regarding job satisfaction and aspirations, liaise with directors/HR to report relevant information, and participate in the probation process for new staff.
  • Manage resourcing: Own or support the resourcing plan, review proposed resourcing models with Delivery leadership, maintain resource forecasts, identify team gaps, engage with delivery leadership to recruit new hires, and participate in hiring of PM peers.
  • Manage client & stakeholders: Provide regular project status reporting, use effective and transparent communication, actively manage stakeholder expectations, make assumptions explicit, create an audit trail of important decisions, and liaise with the Account Manager to define and implement the communication plan.
  • Report to Adaptive: Report project status on a weekly basis and escalate issues to the respective Engagement and/or Account Manager.
  • Commercial & Legal: Understand the legal framework for the engagement, ensure contractual obligations are met by both Adaptive and the client, and escalate issues where breaches of obligations occur or are at risk of occurring.
  • Finance: Own or support the delivery of target revenue and margin, control budget and actuals where necessary, forecast revenue and costs, manage costs (resources, expenses, licenses, vendors), and manage expenses in line with agreements.
  • Capturing and sharing knowledge: Identify IP to be captured for Adaptive, and liaise with CTO and head of Project Execution to agree on the plan to capture and share IP.
