About The Position

This role is a key site enablement function in the Engineering/Infrastructure organization, where you are accountable for implementing new and modified infrastructure, systems, and processes that enable business success across the Berkeley and Pharma North America sites. You oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects to ensure they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements, while coordinating internal and external resources, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, you lead with strong communication and collaboration skills to align diverse project teams and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies, and creating an environment where innovation and operational excellence can thrive.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience assembling, developing, and managing project teams, including goal setting, performance management, coaching, and development planning so that project and user teams work as one to implement projects and ensure readiness for use.
  • Proven ability to organize, lead, or support cross-functional workstreams needed to implement complex engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including managing interfaces and ensuring alignment between mission teams, site functions, and project teams.
  • Experience conducting structured project reviews to verify project maturity at defined gates and milestones, and to support data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to design and implement frameworks, standards, and performance indicators that highlight gaps, drive improvement, and ensure approved business objectives are met.
  • Track record of working with stakeholders to develop and implement improvement plans that enhance operational efficiency and compliance in areas of accountability.
  • Solid understanding of and adherence to company, local, state, and federal specifications, codes, rules, and laws, including relevant certification, validation, and documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in risk management and change management processes, including ensuring accuracy of system documentation and establishing guidelines for continuous risk reduction.
  • Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and be responsible for financial performance within a function or service area, coupled with the ability to support strategy development and drive strategy implementation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing multiple projects in parallel across sites or functions in a regulated, GMP or engineering-intensive environment.
  • Background in procurement strategy and external supplier/contractor management for technical or infrastructure projects.
  • Prior responsibility for compliance and service delivery outcomes in a function or service area, including orchestration of internal and external services to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Align vision, coach, and catalyze project teams in support of site operating units and mission teams, including leadership of local teams and functions to deliver project outcomes as needed by the business.
  • Take accountability for the full project life cycle, from understanding the business need through initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project scope, schedule, and cost proactively and independently, ensuring delivery to agreed quality, budget, and timeline.
  • Build, organize, and lead cross-functional project teams and workstreams independently, managing interfaces and stakeholders and ensuring alignment between mission teams and project teams.
  • Apply knowledge in procurement strategy and external partner management to secure and manage third-party resources effectively.
  • Apply knowledge in change management, qualification, and GMP compliance to ensure projects meet regulatory and quality expectations.
  • Execute and coordinate multiple projects in parallel across sites, conducting project reviews to verify maturity at each gate and milestone, and orchestrating the provision of services and delivery of outcomes as planned by the business.
  • Architect frameworks and standards for work performed, define performance indicators to identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement so that approved business objectives are met.
  • Ensure compliance with company, local, state, and federal specifications, codes, rules, and laws, including applicable certification, validation, and documentation requirements, while managing risk and change management processes to support continuous risk reduction.
  • Be accountable for compliance and financial performance within the function or service area, support strategy development, and drive strategy implementation for your portfolio of projects.
