About The Position

Sundance Consultants, a True Environmental company, delivers environmental and engineering solutions for the built and natural environment—specializing in remediation, urban planning, marine structures, sustainable energy, and resource extraction. Sundance Consultants seeks a Project Manager to lead Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) projects, primarily for federal clients. This full-time, exempt role is responsible for cost estimating, work plan development, financial tracking, client management, and field/subcontractor oversight across site investigations, characterizations, long-term monitoring, and remediation.

Requirements

• B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
• 10+ years of experience supporting federal/DoD clients (USACE, AFCEC, NAVFAC preferred)
• Active PE or PG required
• 40-hr HAZWOPER (with current 8-hr refresher & Supervisor training)
• 30-hr OSHA Construction Safety
• USACE CQM
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1
• Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Proficiency in data analysis, budgeting, and report drafting
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean record
• Ability to travel and obtain military base passes/security clearances
• Must pass background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Manage HTRW projects end-to-end in compliance with contract scope, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare and manage work plans, APP/SSHP, PMP, QCP, and UFP-QAPPs for PA/SI, RI/FS, and remediation tasks.
• Develop cost estimates, track job costs, and collaborate with Contracts and Operations on SOW development, bid evaluations, and status reporting.
• Supervise technical staff and field subcontractors (drillers, geophysics, labs, surveyors) and review field and after-action reports.
• Serve as the primary liaison for federal clients, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders.
