Provides leadership for the development activities of engineering projects. Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline
5+ years project/program management experience, managing and leading highly skilled technical teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Drives deadlines in dynamic and fast moving environments
Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills at all organizational levels
Self-directed, has initiative and is a great multi-tasker
Must be a US Citizen or have Permanent Resident status

Nice To Haves

Experience with Lean Development desirable.
Formal project management training or other similar training (e.g. MBA), preferred.
Must be US Citizen or PERM Resident

Responsibilities

Effectively plans and manages multiple engineering projects, of any size or complexity, for quality development of infrared cameras, components, and accessory products
Actively manages project milestones, budget performance, deliverables and quality, and reports project status using department process, tools and metrics
Maintains an active risk tracking and mitigation plan for all aspects of a project including schedule delays, technical issues, supplier problems.
Proactively engages development teams and Engineering Management to reduce and mitigate project risks and issues.
Provides leadership and direction to the engineering staff on the development according to the released Design Control Process
Interacts with Product managers to clearly define and control project requirements and changes to the established baseline
Coordinates with internal organization and company leadership to achieve development objectives and product manufacturing goals.
Assists with developing and reviewing project estimations for all projects, including resource allocation, priorities, schedules and forecasts.
Assists in the establishment of the department budget
Assists in proposal activities, including the internal maintenance of project scope estimates for all identified future projects.
Provides feedback into the Engineering processes so they are constantly improved
