About The Position

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is modernizing and replacing its legacy Automated Investigation Management System (AIMS), the agency's Records Management System (RMS). The new cloud-based solution will improve scalability, modernize investigative workflows, enhance reporting capabilities, and support more than 900 statewide users. The Project Manager will lead project coordination, vendor management, planning, and implementation activities to ensure successful delivery of the replacement RMS solution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification – Required
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience
  • At least 2 years managing IT projects
  • Experience managing enterprise application implementation or modernization projects
  • Experience working with cloud-based solutions and architecture
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical and business teams
  • Experience developing and maintaining project documentation
  • Experience facilitating meetings with business and technical stakeholders
  • Experience participating in system testing and implementation
  • Experience creating executive status reports and project dashboards
  • Experience using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning and execution for the AIMS modernization initiative
  • Coordinate project activities between vendors, business stakeholders, and IT teams
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, documentation, and communications
  • Monitor project milestones and deliverables
  • Track risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Coordinate contract deliverables and ensure milestone completion
  • Assist with project governance and compliance
  • Support budgeting and grant documentation when required
  • Gather business requirements from users and stakeholders
  • Participate in testing activities
  • Facilitate technical and business meetings
  • Maintain meeting minutes, action items, and decision logs
  • Escalate project risks and scope changes
  • Ensure compliance with Florida State Project Management standards (Rule 60GG-1)
