WRA is seeking a Part-Time Project Manager to join our Building Design Group in our Baltimore, MD office. Come join our collaborative team of engineers and architects on a variety of challenging projects, including high-performance buildings, industrial and manufacturing facilities, office environments, mission critical/secure spaces, historic preservation, and higher education. WRA has a strong mentoring culture and a focus on staff development. Lead multidiscipline A/E teams through concept studies, final design, and construction phase services for clients across a broad range of markets, including DoD, Federal/Local Government and Industrial. Coordinate between disciplines, interface with project stakeholders, and manage quality control processes to ensure each project is successfully completed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 16 years of architectural experience, including project management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects through all phases of design and construction.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, permitting processes, and construction practices.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and architectural design software.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional License (PE, AIA, or RA) preferred
  • DoD security clearance or ability to obtain clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage architectural projects through all phases of planning, design, documentation, bidding, and construction administration.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and project team members.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and staffing plans.
  • Lead project meetings and coordinate activities among architects, engineers, planners, and specialty consultants.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure quality, profitability, and adherence to client expectations.
  • Review design and construction documents for technical accuracy, code compliance, and quality standards.
  • Support contract negotiations, scope development, and proposal preparation.
  • Assist in identifying and managing project risks and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Mentor junior architectural staff and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Participate in client presentations, stakeholder meetings, and project reviews.
  • Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
