About The Position

The Imaging Project Manager I is an integral member of a cross-functional team within the Imaging Science Department. This role provides project management for key department projects, collaborating with Medical Center business, financial, and operational stakeholders. The Project Manager I operates under leadership oversight, adhering to established project management and business requirements standards. Teamwork, collaboration, balancing competing priorities, and continuous improvement and learning are fundamental to success in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology or Engineering required.
  • 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Detail-oriented; demonstrated ability to manage projects required.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal), presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Extensive computer literacy, including Microsoft Project, Teams and PowerPoint required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare or higher education field preferred.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow, JIRA, Smartsheet, Clarity PPM or Project Portfolio Management (PPM) software preferred.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) may be required within a year of hire preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Green Belt Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gather team input and translate into detailed plans (tasks, dependencies, timelines, milestones, resources, deliverables).
  • Define project scope with executive sponsors, key users, and department leaders; secure approvals and assign resources.
  • Track project progress and verify all critical implementation criteria are met.
  • Conduct post-project “lessons learned” sessions to capture successes and improvement areas.
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks with mitigation plans; escalate as needed.
  • Identify, track, and resolve project issues; escalate as needed.
  • Coordinate with Finance Offices, Resource Managers, Medical Center Leaders, and Sponsors to enforce QA, training, and support processes.
  • Facilitate project meetings with clear objectives, agendas, participants, and minutes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for Senior Leadership and provide status reports to steering committees.
  • Stay current on strategic goals, service providers, team processes, tools, and architecture.
  • Pursue webinars, case studies, and white papers to refine PM skills.
  • Build and maintain internal departmental relationships.
  • Present on work-related issues and serve on committees or meetings as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned
