Requirements

  • Knowledge of general engineering, architecture, and construction principles and practices.
  • Ability to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate, and execute assignments with limited supervision.
  • Ability to manage financial and contract administration of assigned projects.
  • Ability to manage project internal and external engineering resources, government agencies, and client staffing.
  • Ability to deliver a project’s proposed scope on time and within budget incorporating appropriate progress tracking best practices.
  • Ability to build and develop client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple multidiscipline projects ensuring adherence to proper protocols and practices.
  • Ability to provide direction and guidance to multidiscipline design team members.
  • Ability to facilitate technical coordination between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to resolve and/or assist in the resolution of technical conflicts and the mitigation of technical risks within projects.
  • Ability to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Ability to coordinate administrative aspects of projects including contract reviews, bidding, scheduling, month-end processing, project accounting, and project related reporting.
  • Ability to create project proposals, fees / budgets, work breakdowns, rough order estimates, task prioritization, schedules, and integration plans with project team support.
  • Ability to develop monthly progress reports and review internal and subconsultant invoicing.
  • Ability to provide expertise and consulting to project managers in project management execution and lessons learned.
  • Ability to establish and coordinate improvements to project management processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage or assist in the management of facilities engineering, architecture, and design projects from inception to completion.
  • Interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate, and execute assignments with limited supervision, utilizing knowledge of general engineering, architecture, and construction principles.
  • Ensure project performance meets and/or exceeds client expectations.
  • Manage financial and contract administration of assigned projects.
  • Manage internal and external engineering resources, government agencies, and client staffing to deliver project scope on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal/external design and construction teams.
  • Build and develop client relationships and seek opportunities for repeat or new business.
  • Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure project completion by defined milestones and established quality guidelines.
  • Manage multiple multidiscipline projects, ensuring adherence to proper protocols and practices.
  • Provide direction and guidance to multidiscipline design team members.
  • Facilitate technical coordination between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Resolve or assist in resolving technical conflicts and mitigating technical risks within projects.
  • Ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
