AECOM is seeking a Project Manager / Construction Manager to be based in Los Angeles, CA. This role is responsible for the overall management and administration of projects, assisting in establishing project-specific objectives and policies. The Project Manager provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and serves as a primary liaison between AECOM and the client. They will oversee and ensure all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors. The position is responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout, and has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned projects. The role involves collaborating and communicating with a broad community of stakeholders, assisting the Client with delivery method selection, procurement, contract planning and administration, and interfacing and coordinating with the design team from design through construction. This includes collaboration with users and stakeholders to translate their requirements. The Project Manager will represent the Client in day-to-day project activities to ensure work is accomplished safely, aligned with project goals and criteria, and within budget and schedule, and on time. They will resolve complex project-related issues, disputes, and disagreements, and provide functional direction over areas of responsibility including project schedules, cost control, quality management and control. The role also manages the plan check and permit process, and construction phase inspections. Additionally, the Project Manager reviews status and monitors variances of the project management information system relative to scheduling, cost control and other project metrics, and provides project reporting. They will review and verify submitted applications for payment and perform overall fiscal management of multiple projects, and support Program Management business development and proposal efforts as needed. The role also includes managing project teams and staff.
