Stonefield Engineering and Design is currently recruiting a Project Manager to join the Traffic Engineering Team. This is a dynamic position that will offer the opportunity for diverse interaction and rapid growth. The right candidate will bring a strong technical background, interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, and a desire for continued growth and learning. As Stonefield is a multi-disciplinary firm, interest in cross-disciplinary work within the field of Traffic Engineering, Highway/Roadway Design and Civil Engineering is encouraged.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
  • Must be a licensed PE
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with traffic engineering capabilities
  • Proficiency in Highway Capacity Software and Synchro/SimTraffic
  • Ability to work effectively on a team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in AutoCAD
  • Signal design abilities
  • Field experience
  • Technical writing
  • Experience in the private entitlement of zoning and site plan permitting
  • Familiarity with NJDOT, NYSDOT, PennDOT Design and Permitting

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and training entry-level to mid-level designers and analysts
  • Preparation of Traffic Impact and Parking Studies
  • Intersection Capacity Analyses
  • Design of Traffic Signal and Roadway Improvement Plans
  • Preparation of Maintenance and Traffic Control drawings
  • Creation of Traffic Signal Timing Directives
  • Development of comprehensive submission and applications to jurisdictional bodies
  • Project management responsibilities
  • Zoning and land development permitting
  • Field inspection
  • Hydraulic and preparation of project reports
  • Attend and present before technical and lay bodies at municipal, county, and state meetings
