The Project Manager - Subcontracts will manage subcontractor activities for fabrication, outfitting, testing, and related shipbuilding services, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and budget for assigned project(s). This role acts as the single point of contact for production and subcontractor involvement and communication, ensuring subcontract integration into the overall project plan. The position requires coordination with supply chain, engineering, scheduling, planning, and production to ensure all required documentation, activity sequencing, and material are available for subcontract execution within contract terms, quality requirements, and safety protocols. The role involves developing and maintaining subcontractor performance metrics against KPIs, milestones, and delivery schedules, and supporting the development and maintenance of documentation, including contract files, correspondence, change order management, and completion records during subcontract execution. Additionally, the Project Manager will manage subcontract modifications, collaborate with various departments to define subcontract needs and resolve disputes, participate in risk assessment and mitigation strategies for subcontracted scopes, review subcontractor invoices, support internal and external audits, and track and record subcontract issues and shortages to contribute to lessons learned.
