About The Position

The Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives is a dynamic, forward-thinking partner to the Director, Strategic Planning and Operations, supporting the execution of the COO’s strategic priorities across the brand portfolio. This role is elevated in scope and expectation: it operates across organizational boundaries to drive accountability, advance active strategic initiatives, and ensure the COO’s operating cadence runs with precision and purpose. The ideal candidate brings executive-level polish, strong organizational instincts, and a proactive approach to cross-brand coordination. This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week based out of Dallas, TX.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder planning cycles with competing deadlines and cross-functional dependencies
  • Proven ability to hold others accountable and drive follow-through across organizational levels — including with leaders more senior than this role
  • Proactive, forward-thinking mindset; identifies what needs to happen next and moves toward it without waiting to be directed
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex, cross-brand information into concise, executive-ready materials

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the annual FY business plan cycle on behalf of leadership: owns deadlines, format requirements, and submission tracking across all portfolio brands
  • Maintains the portfolio-wide strategic planning calendar; monitors milestone status, flags risks and conflicts before they become issues, and ensures strategic commitments are appropriately sequenced to support the COO’s priorities
  • Manages the COO’s meeting cadence — coordinates agendas, prepares pre-read materials, captures meeting summaries, and distributes action items to attendees following COO-level meetings; ensures high-priority time is protected and scheduling conflicts are identified and resolved proactively
  • Coordinates logistics for high-level internal and external meetings on behalf of the COO, including Board-level touchpoints and cross-brand leadership forums, ensuring attendees are informed and materials are prepared in advance
  • Holds cross-brand and functional leaders accountable for follow-up commitments arising from COO-level meetings; tracks resolution and escalates unresolved items to the Director
  • Anticipates upcoming commitments and ensures the COO and Director, Strategic Planning and Operations are consistently informed, prepared, and ahead of key conversations and deliverables
  • Communicates with team members, brand leaders, and stakeholders on the COO’s behalf; directs inquiries appropriately while maintaining a high standard of responsiveness and discretion
  • Functions as a partner to the Director, Strategic Planning and Operations — contributes independently to analysis, synthesis, and the development of executive-ready deliverables across active initiatives
  • Proactively surfaces organizational gaps, brings forward recommendations without being asked, and advances projects to completion without requiring ongoing direction
  • Drafts briefing materials, synthesizes cross-brand inputs, and manages project timelines for initiatives led by the Director
  • Creates systems and processes to improve cross-brand accountability and streamline the portfolio’s operating rhythm
  • Identifies, tracks, and follows up on priority issues with proactive escalation to the Director when necessary
  • Prioritizes competing demands, handles matters with urgency and discretion, and follows through on commitments — often with tight timelines
