Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive project management experience in financial services, technology, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, or related field.
  • PMP or similar certification (if not currently held, must obtain within 6 months of hire).
  • Experience with modern PM/PPM tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project/Planner, ServiceNow).
  • Strong executive communication skills – ability to distill complexity into clear, actionable narratives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Copilot, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and with shifting priorities.
  • Possess proactive problem-solving skills with the awareness of using tools to maximize productivity

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, enterprise level projects end-to-end, applying the appropriate delivery methodology (waterfall, hybrid, or agile) based on project characteristics and team needs
  • Ensure project objectives are tightly aligned with enterprise strategy, line of business priorities, and EPMO governance standards
  • Develop comprehensive project design plans, roadmaps, and integration plans; manage dependencies, critical path, and cross-project dependencies
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues; manage vendor relationships including contract governance and performance oversight
  • Drive data-informed decisions using KPIs, health metrics, and dashboards to monitor and course correct project performance
  • Translate complex project status into clear, executive-ready business impact narratives for sponsors, steering committees, and senior leadership
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders across business units, technology, operations, and third-party partners
  • Build high-performing project teams; coach, mentor, and motivate team members to take ownership and deliver with excellence
  • Lead organizational change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of project outcomes
  • Support enterprise portfolio governance through consistent adherence to EPMO standards, reporting cadences, and quality control
  • Conduct post-implementation retrospectives and document lessons learned, successful patterns, and improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to the evolution of EPMO best practices, frameworks, and delivery standards; identify opportunities to enhance organizational project management maturity
