About The Position

Turner & Townsend is a global professional services company seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to deliver institutional construction projects, ideally within post-secondary environments. The role requires strong leadership, organization, and client-facing skills, with the ability to manage projects from feasibility through closeout while balancing budget, schedule, and stakeholder expectations. This position is based in Guelph, ON, with a strong on-site presence required.

Requirements

  • Project Manager: 3–5+ years of experience in construction project management
  • Senior Project Manager: 7+ years of experience managing increasingly complex projects
  • Proven experience delivering institutional (university/college), commercial, or large-scale capital projects
  • Demonstrated experience in client-side project management environments
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation and reporting discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
  • Primarily based on-site In Guelph, ON

Nice To Haves

  • PMP designation (or working toward) is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Leading projects through the full lifecycle: feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and closeout
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting to ensure successful project delivery
  • Coordinate and collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Lead project meetings, manage action items, documentation, and compliance standards
  • Oversee procurement, contracts, and consultant/contractor performance
  • Manage construction activities including RFIs, submittments, site visits, and payment approvals
  • Monitor and control change orders, risks, and issues, implementing mitigation strategies
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide clear, data-driven updates and recommendations
  • Lead project closeout, including commissioning, turnover documentation, and lessons learned
