Project Manager (Senior PM) – WANS Integration Initiative
About The Position
Client is seeking a senior-level Project Manager to oversee all project management responsibilities associated with a major WANS initiative. The PM will be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, deliverables, stakeholder communication, and overall coordination of integration efforts supporting Exelon's financial systems. The role will initially focus on the WANS project, with additional responsibilities beginning around October supporting a transportation/fleet vendor transition initiative. A Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing large-scale information technology projects within an organization. They oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and closure, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Requirements
- Active PMP certification (required).
- 4–5+ years of Project Management experience at a senior level.
- Experience managing enterprise application or system integration projects.
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-starter capable of operating with minimal oversight.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Nice To Haves
- Utility industry experience.
- Experience supporting Finance organizations or Finance technology initiatives.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, or similar financial applications.
- Understanding of financial system integrations and finance terminology.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
- Exposure to PowerPlan.
- Experience coordinating vendors and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, execution, and delivery for financial system integrations supporting the WANS program.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate delivery of integrations from Oracle Finance systems and related platforms.
- Provide oversight and coordination of PowerPlan-related integration efforts.
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time and align with business expectations.
- Work closely with technical teams, architects, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Escalate issues when needed while operating largely independently.
- Provide vendor management and PM oversight for future transportation/fleet initiatives.
- Developing and implementing project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resources.
- Leading project teams and managing project resources to achieve project goals.
- Monitoring project progress and performance against plan, and taking corrective action as needed.
- Identifying and managing project risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Communicating project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Managing vendor relationships and contracts as needed.
- Providing leadership and guidance to project team members.
- Conducting project meetings and reviews to track progress and make decisions.
- Managing project documentation and ensuring that it is accurate and up-to-date.
