About The Position

Fluke is the world leader in professional electronic test tools and software, helping keep the world up and running. This role, Project Manager, Retired Items Process, leads cross-functional projects that support product lifecycle execution, material flow, and business growth. Reporting within the Materials team, this role owns end-to-end project execution within the Product and Material Obsolescence (RIP) workflow, ensuring disciplined processes, cross-functional alignment, and clear communication from planning through execution. The Project Manager will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Materials, and Finance to reduce material liability, manage risk, and support operational continuity throughout the product lifecycle. This role is ideal for a project leader who is comfortable operating at all levels of the organization, navigating tradeoffs, and driving results in a lean manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–6 years of experience in project management, supply chain, materials management, or operations within a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter mindset with a strong focus on process improvement and results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PLM, Oracle, and Jira systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, and business objectives.
  • Own execution of RIP (Retired Items Process) projects, applying standard work to reduce material and financial liability.
  • Identify and communicate project status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders and leadership including leading recurring status meetings.
  • Partner with Product Managers to translate product roadmaps, obsolescence strategies, and timelines into executable project plans.
  • Utilize PLM, Jira, and Oracle systems to monitor and manage ECOs, item status attributes, deviations, liability bleed-down plans, and RIP projects.
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve complex operational and inventory challenges.
