About The Position

We are an established Illinois-based company that is actively expanding into Ohio and other new markets as part of our long-term nationwide growth strategy. We’re bringing on experienced professionals to help build and support our presence in these regions. We are looking for a highly experienced Licensed Journeyman Plumber with 10+ years in the field to join our team as a Plumbing Advisor. This is a part-time, advisory-focused role where you will provide guidance and expertise on plumbing projects. This position is not a field role. You will not be required to perform physical plumbing work. Instead, you will act as a consultant, helping guide decisions, support technicians, and ensure quality standards. This role is ideal for a retired or semi-retired professional who is not currently working full-time and wants to stay involved in the industry in a flexible capacity.

Requirements

10+ years of plumbing experience
Must be a Licensed Journeyman Plumber
Retired or semi-retired (not currently working full-time)
Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to clearly communicate and guide others

Nice To Haves

Experience mentoring or training others is a plus
Trade school or apprenticeship completion preferred

Responsibilities

Provide expert advice on plumbing projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair approaches
Guide technicians on best practices for working within residential plumbing systems
Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing plumbing issues remotely or in a limited on-site advisory capacity
Advise on water heaters, sump pumps, ejector systems, and general residential plumbing setups
Ensure proper practices for DWV and sanitary systems
Serve as a mentor and technical resource for the team
