About The Position

We are an established Illinois-based company that is actively expanding into Ohio and other new markets as part of our long-term nationwide growth strategy. We’re bringing on experienced professionals to help build and support our presence in these regions. We are looking for a highly experienced Licensed Journeyman Plumber with 10+ years in the field to join our team as a Plumbing Advisor. This is a part-time, advisory-focused role where you will provide guidance and expertise on plumbing projects. This position is not a field role. You will not be required to perform physical plumbing work. Instead, you will act as a consultant, helping guide decisions, support technicians, and ensure quality standards. This role is ideal for a retired or semi-retired professional who is not currently working full-time and wants to stay involved in the industry in a flexible capacity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of plumbing experience
• Must be a Licensed Journeyman Plumber
• Retired or semi-retired (not currently working full-time)
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to clearly communicate and guide others

Nice To Haves

• Experience mentoring or training others is a plus
• Trade school or apprenticeship completion preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on plumbing projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair approaches
• Guide technicians on best practices for working within residential plumbing systems
• Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing plumbing issues remotely or in a limited on-site advisory capacity
• Advise on water heaters, sump pumps, ejector systems, and general residential plumbing setups
• Ensure proper practices for DWV and sanitary systems
• Serve as a mentor and technical resource for the team
