About The Position

The College of Health Solutions seeks a Project Manager Research. Under administrative direction, this role directs the activities and functions of the Language and Dyslexia Screener research project. In collaboration with the principal investigators, the Project Manager Research ensures that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time limitations, funding limitations and other specifications. This position is based on the Tempe Campus at Lattie F. Coor Hall and is expected to end in June 2031.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Use basic math
  • Handle petty cash
  • Supervise staff
  • Use office equipment, i.e. printers, copiers, fax machines, telephones, calculator
  • Use of software/computer equipment for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and transport 25 pounds

  • Fluent Spanish-English bilingual
  • Certified speech-language pathologist licensed in Arizona
  • Research experience
  • Experience conducting online trainings
  • Skill in budgeting, implementing and evaluating projects.
  • Knowledge of processes to conduct needs child assessments.
  • Skill in designing training materials and presentations to meet needs assessed.
  • Ability to implement training, session reviews, and follow-up procedures.
  • Knowledge of processes for dissemination of results through presentations, reports, and publications.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and establishing and facilitating work teams.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the activities of subordinates.
  • Supervises and facilitates the development of training materials, training content, training delivery modes, meetings and conferences with program/project participants; oversees logistics, scheduling and target audience communications.
  • In collaboration with principal investigators, oversees the evaluation of program effectiveness to develop and implement the goals and objectives of the project including: improved methods of program/project delivery; evaluation methodology design and implementation including analysis of results and takes or recommends proper action based on outcomes.
  • Develops and monitors daily operations and coordinates program activities.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals for continued funding; acts as the primary liaison with current funding source.
  • Directs the recruitment of local participants within Arizona utilizing approved recruitment materials. Establishes and maintains liaison with all program sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
