About The Position

Nova Scotia Power's Corporate Regulatory Affairs department is seeking a full-time permanent Regulatory Project Manager. This role involves researching and developing positions on regulatory matters, recommending courses of action, and managing project teams to achieve desired outcomes. The incumbent will also be responsible for staying informed about current regulatory issues and practices. The position reports to the Director of Regulatory Planning & Compliance.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years of prior experience in a project management role is an asset.
  • Experience in working across functional/organizational boundaries is an asset.
  • Familiarity with concepts related to utility and operations is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of assigned deliverables.
  • Manage project activities, create detailed project plans, and organize project meetings.
  • Take responsibility for the overall management of regulatory projects.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to project teams and other project resources.
  • Ensure effective communication with project stakeholders and proper documentation creation, maintenance, and archiving.
  • Support regulatory research for regulatory activities and develop written reports and presentations for all levels of management.
  • Be responsible for personal safety, co-worker safety, and the safety of those under your direction by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health & Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • Be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to environmental management system processes and initiatives.
