The City of O'Fallon, MO is searching for a talented and organized full-time Project Manager for our Public Works Department. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• One to three years of related experience.
• Valid Missouri driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong knowledge of public works operations, civil engineering, and construction management.
• Proven experience in transportation infrastructure, utilities, and facilities projects.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Proficiency in computer applications and project management tools.
• Ability to handle complex projects.
• Ability to prepare technical documents.
• Effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering, surveying, and professional firms for design projects.
• Negotiate and execute contracts.
• Manage construction contractors.
• Review plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Ensure timely project delivery.
• Maintain documentation.
• Prepare council agenda items and purchase order requests.
• Coordinate bidding processes alongside the Purchasing Agent.
• Apply for external funds.
• Review shop drawings and test reports.
• Acquire easements and rights-of-way.
• Prepare Requests for Qualifications.
• Process invoices.
• Meet with residents.
• Complete in-house design plans.
• Coordinate utility relocations.
• Make presentations to elected officials and public groups.
