About The Position

The Enterprise Mandates Delivery team implements large, cross-functional mandates with significant technology impacts arising from federal, state, county, and BCBSA requirements. The Project Manager, Principal is a senior individual contributor who reports to the Senior Director. Approximately 50% of the role is dedicated to directly leading a complex enterprise regulatory mandate, with the remainder supporting team governance and operations, including data validation, reporting, process and tool improvements, risk escalation, knowledge sharing, business continuity planning, and consistent use of Planview, Archer, and SharePoint. The role leads highly complex, enterprise-wide projects and programs with cross-functional, technology, financial, and regulatory impacts. It provides strategic alignment across projects and programs, manages delivery from initiation through completion, and promotes continuous improvement. The position leads through influence and subject-matter expertise rather than direct people management, while supporting project managers and cross-functional partners. The role partners with Business, IT, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders to deliver regulatory commitments and mandated deadlines. It also oversees portfolio governance and executive reporting, advances Archer as a mandate-tracking and reporting tool, maintains delivery procedures and controls, strengthens audit readiness and business continuity, and coaches team members on delivery practices. This is a hybrid position. Most teams work in the office two days each week; employees who live more than 50 miles from an office work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need. The physical work environment is an office and home-office/deskwork setting, with a sedentary activity level for most of the workday.
