About The Position

RTI International is seeking a dynamic Project Manager with a passion for medical product development to help drive the advancement of innovative therapies from concept to reality. In this role, you will lead and coordinate multiple concurrent preclinical development programs, working to bring new therapeutic solutions to life. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team within RTI’s Laboratory Sciences and Engineering (LS&E) division, you will partner closely with scientists and technical experts to accelerate early-stage product development aimed at addressing critical unmet needs in healthcare. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in translating cutting-edge research into real-world impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s level degree with 8+ years of experience, supporting early-stage and preclinical therapeutic development projects, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience, supporting early-stage and preclinical therapeutic development projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future sponsorship for employment visa status

Nice To Haves

  • Experience related to preclinical medical product development
  • Experience with technical or scientific writing
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
  • PMP certification

Responsibilities

  • Work with project teams to track the progress of ongoing project activities
  • Track project milestones, critical path activities, and key deliverables; proactively identify schedule risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to support on-time project execution
  • Ensure high levels of communication with project teams, support resources and clients
  • Plan studies and tasks, working with contract research organization (CRO) staff or consultants as needed to finalize study protocols and procedures
  • Research and summarize program information for response to external requests, project proposals, reports and external meetings
  • Coordinate activities and communication across multiple organizations
  • Prepare project status reports
  • Manage conference calls, meetings, and other logistics for the project(s)
  • Prepare agendas and minutes for project team meetings and track action items
  • Aid in creating and tracking project budgets
