About The Position

As a Project Manager in Planning, Design + Construction at MSK, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the facilities that support world‑class patient care, research, and innovation. This role oversees complex construction and renovation projects from concept through completion, ensuring each initiative is executed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality. You will collaborate with diverse partners across MSK, guide decision‑making, and steward multiple high‑visibility projects that directly impact the organization’s mission and long‑term growth.

Requirements

  • Construction industry experience with emphasis on field supervision and complex project management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Construction Project Manage systems, ideally Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret architectural and engineering drawings; licensure preferred.
  • Knowledge of building codes and hospital construction standards preferred.
  • Strong mathematical, administrative, and project management capabilities.
  • Construction management experience preferred
  • Clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including attention to detail and time management.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage fast‑paced project environments while ensuring safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project timelines and monitor progress across multiple construction initiatives.
  • Maintain project drawings, logs, files, and all required documentation.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates by analyzing labor, materials, equipment, and overhead to support project planning and budgeting.
  • Ensure contractor work complies with project scope and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in developing and evaluating design concepts for major projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and field surveys to validate existing conditions.
  • Perform ongoing safety and progress inspections, resolving punch‑list and corrective items.
  • Assist with establishing construction budgets, cost estimating, and monitoring costs throughout the project.
  • Support competitive bidding processes and recommend contract awards.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and serve as a resource on complex assignments.
