About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing assigned capital projects at application enterprise locations. This includes full lifecycle project management—from planning and design through construction and project closeout. The role ensures successful execution of all project phases by coordinating with internal stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering.
  • 5 years directly related experience in healthcare or higher education capital project management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in healthcare, laboratory, and medical office environments.
  • Awareness of current industry trends and emerging technologies in MEP design.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit for basic tasks and file manipulation.
  • Proficient in project management software including eBuilder, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
  • Working knowledge of building codes relevant to healthcare and research facilities
  • Understanding of regulatory agencies such as the State Department of Health, City of Philadelphia, New Jersey Department of Health, and The Joint Commission.

Responsibilities

  • Manage planning, design, and construction of capital projects, including new buildings and renovations at applicable enterprise location.
  • Coordinate and oversee both external contractors and in-house maintenance staff during construction and renovation activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and take accountability for project scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with client needs and organizational goals.
  • Assist in preparation and management of contracts for architectural and engineering consultants and oversee design activities through construction administration.
  • Lead bidding, award, and construction execution processes to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Oversee ancillary project components such as telecommunications/data coordination and relocation services.
