Project Manager - Physical Security Integration

Raymond Search Group•Columbus, OH

About The Position

Our client is a growing, family-owned Midwest technology integrator delivering enterprise networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and physical security under one roof. Its physical security practice has expanded quickly, and the Columbus market now carries an established local field team, a full project book, and enterprise and higher-education accounts that expect someone on site. Right now a senior engineer is covering project management on top of his own job. You are the fix: the first dedicated Project Manager on the ground in Columbus, reporting directly to the Director of Professional Services who leads the practice. The honest version: you are the only PM in Ohio. The rest of the PM bench sits out of state, so there is no local peer to hand things to. If you want a crowded PMO and a queue of assigned projects, this is the wrong seat. If you want to own a market, keep reading.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management, ideally at a technology, low-voltage, or security systems integrator.
  • Direct PM experience on physical security projects: video surveillance, access control, visitor management.
  • Owned scope, schedule, budget, risk, and the client relationship end to end.
  • Operated independently as the senior on-site presence, without a PM peer down the hall.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Senior project coordinators from a security or low-voltage integrator who are ready to own a market will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Full delivery of Columbus-area physical security projects: scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, risk, and change management.
  • The client relationship. Expectation-setting, regular progress updates, and being on site in a hard hat and vest when a job needs eyes on it, not just a status call.
  • Coordination of the local field team: the right people on each project, with clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Quality and closeout: testing and commissioning against spec, after-action reviews, and lessons learned.
  • PM process and rigor as the practice grows beyond its current footprint.

Benefits

  • Full benefits active on day one. No waiting period.
  • 401(k) with a 100% match on the first 4%, fully vested from the start.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • A high-trust, high-autonomy culture. You are hired to run the job, not to be managed through it.
