Position Objective: The Project Manager is responsible for executing awarded contracts according to the specifications within the project timeline and budget.

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a minimum of 5 years’ experience executing projects in a similar field
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience on industrial projects
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands on experience reviewing designs, technical drawings and documents
  • Project management skills including ERP knowledge, scheduling, communication, project team leadership
  • Contract review and terms and conditions experience a plus
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

Nice To Haves

  • PMP highly desired
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Contract review and terms and conditions experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Study awarded contracts and related proposals.
  • Review and approve drawings as needed to support project engineer.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track and monitor progress.
  • Prepare project cost control documents.
  • Report, solve and escalate to management issues as needed.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Coordinate subcontractors for various project tasks: engineering, fabrication, assembly, installation.
  • Coordinate shipments between subcontractors and to final site, preparing necessary packing lists.
  • Coordinate AAF installation supervision being the interface between AAF Field Service Supervisor, client and the technical office.
  • Be the direct contact with customer during the execution of the project, coordinating meetings or direct communications to assist in resolution of problems and complains, including change orders.
  • Maintain a teamwork philosophy with other departments to facilitate problem solving and provide good customer service.
  • Supports sales & application team members in their bids.
  • Recommends new equipment or modification of the existing equipment based on customer´s and site feedback.
