Project Manager - Operations
About The Position
We are committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. This role will lead operational projects across warehouse, transportation, logistics, and supply chain functions. You will coordinate project timelines, deliverables, milestones, and communication plans. Partnering with operational leaders, you will identify process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies. You will assist with the implementation and rollout of operational initiatives, SOPs, and standardized processes, monitoring project progress and providing status updates to leadership teams. Facilitating project meetings, action tracking, and follow-up accountability are key. You will support warehouse and transportation optimization initiatives including workflow improvements, labor utilization, inventory accuracy, and process consistency. Collaboration with IT and Operations teams on system implementations and process enhancements including WMS, ERP, reporting tools, and operational technology is expected. Analyzing operational data, KPIs, and trends to support decision-making and continuous improvement is crucial. You will help coordinate new site launches, operational transitions, integrations, and expansion projects, ensuring projects maintain compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company standards. Identifying project risks and developing mitigation plans to minimize operational disruption, as well as developing project documentation including timelines, SOPs, process maps, and reporting dashboards, are important aspects of this role. You will support change management efforts and operational communication during project rollouts, maintaining strong cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment and execution success. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of project management, operations, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience preferred
- Experience in food distribution, cold storage, transportation, or high-volume operations strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven ability to lead projects and drive execution across cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with operational reporting and KPI tracking
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience working with WMS, ERP, or operational systems preferred
- PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus
- Ability to travel as needed to operational sites
