About The Position

The Project Manager-Operational Excellence supports initiatives that advance quality, efficiency, and patient-centered care across the health system. Partners with clinical and operational leaders to plan, execute, and sustain improvement projects that strengthen organizational performance. Applies structured project management and change leadership to deliver measurable, lasting results. Develops project charters, timelines, communication plans, and performance metrics aligned with system priorities. Facilitates cross-functional workgroups, ensuring timely progress, risk mitigation, and alignment with operational goals. Monitors project milestones and prepares status updates for leadership, steering committees, and stakeholders. Has awareness of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools to analyze workflows, identify root causes, and design optimized processes. Develops change management plans that support adoption, readiness, and long-term sustainability. Creates training materials, communication assets, and stakeholder updates that support project success. Collaborates with analytics teams to define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business, engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in project management, performance improvement, or healthcare operations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with project management tools and data visualization platforms
  • Ability to lead at least 3 projects simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent improvement certification
  • Experience in hospital operations, ambulatory care, or health system performance improvement
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards, quality frameworks, and patient safety principles
