About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking a results-driven, methodical, and collaborative Project Manager to manage a complex portfolio of projects for their Operational Excellence team. This role leverages standard project management methodologies including DMAIC and Lean Six Sigma principles (Yellow Belt and Green Belt) to drive optimized performance, cost savings, efficiency, and overall return on investment across the organization. The Project Manager will manage projects end-to-end, apply DMAIC, Yellow Belt, and Green Belt frameworks for process improvement, develop detailed project plans, coordinate resource planning, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains. The role reports to the Director – Operational Excellence – System and has no direct reports. The position is full-time, Monday – Friday, hybrid, located in Indianapolis, IN.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent years of experience required
• 3–5 years of relevant Project Management experience required
• Experience working in a complex, matrix environment required

Nice To Haves

• PMP certification preferred
• Healthcare industry experience a plus
• Familiarity with DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt or Green Belt) methodologies strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Managing projects end-to-end using standard project management methodologies, processes, and tools
• Applying DMAIC, Yellow Belt, and Green Belt frameworks to drive process improvement initiatives
• Developing detailed project plans based on customer specifications to optimize performance and achieve measurable outcomes
• Coordinating resource planning to ensure projects are staffed and executed appropriately
• Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across a complex, matrixed organization
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency gains, and return on investment
• Ensuring projects are delivered on scope, on schedule, and within budget
