About The Position

To optimize the strategic impact and long-term sustainability of AHN’s nursing and allied health talent pipeline programs, the Project Manager provides project management support across multiple initiatives and priority workstreams. This role partners closely with internal clinical education leaders, hospital/market stakeholders, and community partners to plan and deliver projects on scope, on time, and within budget; establish reliable systems for tracking program activities and outcomes; and manage complex funding streams (grants, hospital foundation contributions, and individual donations) to support quarterly reporting and operational decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) to four (4) years experience in a project manager role for application development projects and/or in a project leadership role for same
  • PMP certification or equivalent training
  • Experience managing budgets and/or complex funding sources (grants, philanthropy/foundation funding, donations); familiarity with compliance, documentation, and reporting expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional partnerships with hospital/market leaders, academic partners (schools of nursing/allied health programs), and community-based organizations
  • Strong data tracking and reporting skills (dashboards, KPIs, outcome measurement); proficiency with Excel and common project tracking tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentations and facilitation of working sessions
  • Strong organizational, planning, and stakeholder management skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams with competing priorities
  • Healthcare workforce pipeline/program operations and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong meeting facilitation, documentation, and follow-up discipline (action logs, decision tracking)
  • Analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to translate ambiguity into clear workplans and measurable outcomes
  • Experience with customer/partner relationship management and community partnership collaboration
  • Presentation and storytelling skills (data-to-insight for leaders and external partners)
  • Negotiation, conflict resolution, and risk mitigation planning

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for nursing and allied health pipeline initiatives, including scope definition, workplans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain a program roadmap that aligns pipeline projects with strategic workforce priorities; coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across clinical education, operations, HR/talent, hospital/market leadership, academic partners, and vendors.
  • Facilitate governance and stakeholder communication (agendas, decision logs, status updates, and executive-ready reporting) to ensure clear accountability, timely escalation, and alignment to program objectives.
  • Establish and maintain robust systems to track and manage diverse funding streams (complex grant funding, hospital foundation contributions, and individual donations); support budget monitoring, allowable spend tracking, and documentation readiness for audits and compliance requirements.
  • Produce and coordinate quarterly and ad hoc reporting for internal leaders and external partners, including program milestones, participation metrics, outcomes, and return-on-investment indicators.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness (e.g., intake, scheduling, partner onboarding, data capture, and reporting cadence); develop SOPs, templates, and repeatable tools that scale across programs.
  • Support grant and partnership development efforts that intentionally include the broader community; maintain and strengthen collaborations with organizations while exploring new partners to expand reach and impact.
  • Adhere to Highmark/AHN project management methods, project lifecycle methodologies, and audit requirements; contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices.
