About The Position

Paul Davis Restoration is looking for a Mitigation Project Manager to join their growing Waukegan team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can take control of a project from the initial loss through completion. The role involves coordinating crews, communicating with customers and insurance professionals, keeping projects moving, and ensuring work is done safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Candidates with strong restoration experience, an understanding of the mitigation process, and readiness for more responsibility are encouraged to apply, even if they do not currently hold the Project Manager title. The company is also open to candidates with strong project management, construction, field operations, or service-industry leadership experience who can learn quickly.

Requirements

  • Restoration experience is strongly preferred, especially in water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, or related property damage services.
  • Experienced restoration professional ready to move into Project Management
  • Current Mitigation Project Manager looking for your next opportunity
  • Comfortable leading people and holding others accountable
  • Organized enough to manage multiple active projects and changing priorities
  • Confident communicating with homeowners during stressful situations
  • Able to make decisions and solve problems without needing constant direction
  • Familiar with restoration documentation, estimating, insurance claims, or industry software
  • Motivated by taking ownership and seeing a project through to completion
  • Strong project management, construction, field operations, or service-industry leadership experience (for candidates outside of restoration)

Responsibilities

  • Manage water, fire, mold, and other mitigation projects from start to finish
  • Assess losses, determine scope, and develop a clear plan of action
  • Coordinate technicians, equipment, subcontractors, and project schedules
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the restoration process
  • Work with adjusters, agents, and other insurance professionals
  • Monitor project documentation, photos, moisture readings, job notes, and required paperwork
  • Keep projects moving while managing quality, timelines, and profitability
  • Identify issues early and make decisions to keep jobs on track
  • Support and coach field team members while setting clear expectations
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as needed
