About The Position

SMX is seeking a Mission Systems Project Manager to serve as the primary lead responsible for planning, execution, oversight, and delivery of enterprise mission systems, communications, network operations, infrastructure, and mission IT services supporting a globally distributed intelligence environment. The Project Manager provides strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, and operational coordination across multiple technical service areas to ensure mission readiness, cybersecurity compliance, and successful execution of Government objectives. This is a full-time onsite position in Ft. Bragg, NC.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with NATO access eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex DoD, Intelligence Community, or enterprise IT programs.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams supporting mission-critical operations.
  • Experience managing programs involving enterprise networks, communications systems, cybersecurity, infrastructure services, and mission systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing senior Government leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • PMP certification.
  • ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community, Special Operations, ISR, DPED, or GISA programs.
  • Experience managing programs supporting Unified Communications, SATCOM, CDL, transport systems, ICAM, cloud, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Knowledge of RMF, CSfC, Zero Trust Architecture, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience supporting worldwide CONUS and OCONUS operations in classified environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and enterprise modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface between Government leadership, mission partners, and contractor personnel.
  • Manage execution of enterprise communications, network operations, infrastructure, mission systems, and transport services supporting intelligence and operational missions.
  • Oversee program performance, staffing, resource allocation, risk management, and contract compliance.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Lead program reviews, status meetings, executive briefings, and customer engagements.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, Intelligence Community, cybersecurity, and accreditation requirements.
  • Coordinate activities across Unified Communications, Enterprise Network Operations, ICAM, infrastructure services, mission systems, field support, and enterprise IT operations teams.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, issues, and operational impacts affecting mission execution.
  • Support transition planning, technology modernization initiatives, and continuous process improvement efforts.
