About The Position

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the successful delivery of medium-to-large mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager leads the project team, manages financial performance at the project level, and serves as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience managing MEP construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage medium-to-large project budgets ($5M–$50M+).
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Spectrum and/or other construction management software.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without future employment sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, PE, DBIA, or CCM certification.
  • Experience in design-build, IPD, or alternative delivery projects.
  • Strong client network within Southern California markets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of assigned MEP projects.
  • Supervise Project Coordinators & Assistant Project Manager teams to achieve schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and accountability.
  • Maintain project-level budgets, track costs, and ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Monitor cash flow, forecast financial performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead change order management, cost recovery, and margin improvement strategies.
  • Serve as primary contact for general contractors, architects, and engineers on assigned projects.
  • Build strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and positive references.
  • Coordinate with Designers & Engineers and Purchasing Dept.
  • Mentor Project Coordinators, Assistant Project Managers and other team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Assist in recruiting and onboarding project staff as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement project controls, quality assurance, and reporting standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and efficiencies.
