About The Position

PremiStar South is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical and plumbing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is ideal for a Project Manager who enjoys owning projects from start to finish while partnering closely with field leadership, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes. You'll oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, manpower planning, financial performance, and client communication while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of Project Management or Project Engineer experience in mechanical or plumbing construction.
  • Commercial and/or industrial construction experience.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and project financial management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and client relationships.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • OSHA training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial mechanical and plumbing construction projects from turnover through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and financial forecasts.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and coordinate resources with field leadership.
  • Partner with Superintendents, Foremen, Project Engineers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Procure materials and equipment while managing project costs and maintaining profitability.
  • Review contracts, specifications, drawings, RFIs, submittmits, fabrication documents, and change orders.
  • Manage project financials, approve invoices, and provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor project progress, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, OSHA regulations, and customer expectations.
  • Participate in project management and billing meetings while supporting continuous project improvement.
