About The Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. This is an onsite position at our Astec-Jerome Avenue facility in Chattanooga, TN. This position is not an IT Project Manager role. Projects are focused on manufacturing equipment, automation, capacity and efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.
5+ years of end-to-end project management experience.
Creative problem-solver.
Basic financial planning.
Resource Management.
Effective team-building expertise.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Microsoft Outlook expertise.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suites.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a matrix-based, marcom organization preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop documentation for processes and procedures for projects.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Develop a detailed project plan.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
Ensure resource availability and allocation.
Communicate, monitor and track progress.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
Report and escalate to management as needed.
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
