This role involves providing project management for various high-profile projects within the branch. The Project Manager/Leader will ensure project deliverables meet clients’ business requirements on time, scope, and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies, and compliance with OPS project management methodologies and frameworks. The position requires interaction with senior staff within the ministry and with external partners, managing those relationships. Key responsibilities include leading organizational development, strategy development, business planning, and ministry funding requests. The role also involves gathering and developing requirements to create and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying team members, clarifying roles, setting expectations, and resolving conflicts. Developing and managing complex project budgets, ensuring fiscal control and accountability, and using ministry project management tools are also crucial. The role requires participation in team meetings, creating and updating Integrated Project Management Plans (IPPs), performing schedule reviews, managing project progress, and reporting on slippage. Creating project status and progress reports for executives and stakeholders, identifying and managing issues and risks, and preparing business transformation and adoption plans are essential. The position also involves creating knowledge transfer documentation, establishing and participating in steering committees and stakeholder forums, and providing project/program/portfolio reporting. The role requires promoting OPS I&IT standards and best practices, and adhering to OPS Unified I&IT Project Methodology and e-Health Ontario Gating process. A demonstrated team player with a track record for meeting deadlines is expected.
