This role involves providing project management for various high-profile projects within the branch. The Project Manager/Leader will ensure project deliverables meet clients’ business requirements on time, scope, and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies, and compliance with OPS project management methodologies and frameworks. The position requires interaction with senior staff within the ministry and with external partners, leading organizational development, strategy development, business planning, and ministry funding requests. The role also involves gathering and developing requirements, creating and maintaining detailed project schedules, identifying team members, clarifying roles, setting expectations, resolving conflicts, and managing complex project budgets. The Project Manager/Leader will use ministry project management tools, participate in team meetings, create/update Integrated Project Management Plans (IPPs), perform schedule reviews, manage project progress, create status reports, identify and manage issues and risks, review change requests, prepare business transformation and adoption plans, create knowledge transfer documentation, and establish/participate in steering committees and stakeholder forums. The role also requires providing project, program, and/or portfolio reporting to multi-stakeholders at senior executive levels, using strategies to overcome resistance to change, promoting OPS I&IT standards and best practices, and adopting OPS Unified I&IT Project Methodology and e-Health Ontario Gating process. A demonstrated team player with a track record for meeting deadlines is essential.
