About The Position

Kleinfelder is seeking a Project Manager to join our Land Development team in Austin. The successful candidate will be a self-starter responsible for providing project management and technical support to Land Development projects and proposals. This role involves proposing, planning, executing, and managing projects of varying complexity with multidisciplinary teams. Strong collaboration, project management, and client engagement skills are essential for supporting clients in Texas. Experience with proposal preparation, including scoping and pricing, is also required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
• 8+ years of experience in land development or related engineering fields.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and foster and develop key client relationships.
• Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner.
• Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitably.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Microsoft Office.

• Candidate will be required to complete Kleinfelder’s project management qualifications within one (1) year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team and project management of residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal land development projects, applying sound engineering principles to deliver solutions.
• Oversee a design team, delegating tasks, and ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.
• Manage multiple projects, staying within budget, on time, and meeting client requirements.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, ensure high satisfaction throughout the project, and identify other opportunities.
• Resolves issues to keep projects on track.
• Manage relationships with key clients.
• Develop new business relationships with new clients.
