About The Position

LS3P is seeking a Project Manager to join their K-12 team in their Raleigh office. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, devoted to quality, and possesses strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines. This role requires thorough knowledge of relevant codes, operations, processes, and trends, as well as a demonstrated ability to mentor and manage teams and foster client relationships. The Project Manager will be pivotal in the design process, collaborating closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to bring architectural concepts to life.

Requirements

• Registered Architect with Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited university.
• Technical production skills are necessary and require a demonstrated ability to effectively produce design and construction documents.
• Understanding of relevant codes such as state building codes, ANSI 117.1, BOMA.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Revit is preferred.
• LEED accreditation or interest in achieving accreditation is preferred.
• 10+ years of design experience is preferred.
• Experience in the K-12 market preferred.
• A cover letter, resume and portfolio demonstrating Revit skills and rendering abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Work side by side in a team environment with clients, consultants, design leaders, architects, interior designers, urban planners and emerging professionals on active production projects.
• Prepare strategic plans and serve as the primary contact with clients.
• Be responsible for contract negotiations, billing, AR, performing close-out and archiving duties for projects.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and programs, including team assignments, estimating fees, determining scope of work, and proposal preparation.
• Be responsible for facilitating and sealing contract documents as the Architect in Responsible Charge, coordinating and obtaining sign-off from quality assurance and studio and client leadership for all required tasks.
• Develop design assignments throughout all project phases.
• Coordinate architectural drawings across disciplines.
• Support communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants.
• Play an integral part in overall client satisfaction, design quality and profitability of all projects undertaken that contribute to the firm’s strategic priorities.
